Purrge Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 23, 2026

Purrge is a photo and video cleanup utility. This policy explains what information the app handles.

Media is processed locally

Purrge analyzes photos and videos on your device to help you find duplicates, similar photos, screenshots, and large videos. Photos, videos, thumbnails, and file hashes are not uploaded to Purrge servers. Purrge has no account system and does not provide cloud storage for your media.

Permissions

Purrge requests access to photos and videos so it can analyze your media library. You can grant or deny access through your device settings. The app only moves files to the system trash after you confirm the action.

Advertising

Purrge may display ads using Google AdMob. If ads are available, Google and its partners may process device, usage, and advertising information as described in their policies and according to your consent choices. You can manage advertising privacy choices in the app settings. Purrge does not send your photos, videos, thumbnails, or file hashes to advertisers.

Optional network speed test

If you start the speed test in the Tools section, Purrge makes a limited network request to measure your connection speed. This test is optional, does not run automatically, and does not include your photos, videos, thumbnails, or file hashes.

Information we collect

Purrge does not collect an account name, email address, or the contents of your photo and video library. App preferences and local counters may be stored on your device.

Children

Purrge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
